Today is #switchday, February 1st was chosen by an online movement to mark the day we move away from corporate/for profit owned products and turn to open source, non-profit and/or federated platforms.
I will not be switching anything definitive today.
But nonetheless this initiative has inspired me to keep working on this personal website, and by now it’s ready for my own challenge, starting today:
Commit to the content or website repo’s at least once every day.
I’ve set up a git plugin for my content folder, meaning a blogpost, photo or even working on a draft will count as a commit. But I still need to do it. No cheating.
Well I guess if I’m offline with only my phone, writing down a markdown note counts as well.
We shall see how long I can keep this up, but I’m at least looking forward to working more with Kirby CMS, and you can keep track of my progress on my GitHub profile.
